There's a palpable yearning to your songs - especially this one. It's almost bringing a tear to my eye. It usually takes a few listens to a song before I get the gist. I hear music before I do the lyrics. For example the first few listens I gave to Luka by Suzanne Vega I thought: a nice, happy go lucky song. But your lyrics reach out and grab me. Make me sit up and listen as they did here. Thumbs Up

Your performance is very touching. Vocals and emotions hit the right spot and your guitar playing is awesome. A hard topic to pick, but you deliver the message with a lotta love.Hug

I'm rendered almost speechless by this song Joyce, your voice, guitar, lyrics. the lyrics, ah, i tend to listen to lyrics first, i love how this song takes me back to the joan baez, bob dylan, neil young 1960's era, with its telling of a story. Such as a sad song, so beautifully and empathetically played. Wonderful. Hug

It's a time capsule Transport of captured emotions. I get the sense that this is how you really feel and who you really are Hug The mono tape played back on a stereo tape deck makes this even more of a treasure more 'gold from the basement' Nodding lots'a people have pictures but not many have captured emotions Big Grin This is a nice theme very believable performance and great all around written song. Production wise Volume-Unit Meter I like the way the song tries to break through on the right side and sounds a little like a recording over the phone or a victrola effect LP Record . Awesome Joyce Thumbs Up your vox are great!

Wow..Being that at I'm at My Dad's right now listening to this? It is so beautiful, Joyce. Thank you for this awesome song! This is the first time in 9 years I've seen my Dad
s weathered face, and to almost lose him? I agree with Denny here. But then the best songs come from our life, don't they. Love ya hun! This one , once again brought me to tears! BRAVO Clapping Red Rose

Wow....I don't know what to say.
I feel like I've invaded your privacy by sneaking up to your bedroom window and peeking inside to witness you playing guitar and singing to yourself laying cross legged on your bed.
Truly some awesome lyrics and the acoustic works so so well with the melody.
It would be nice if the production was better, but the feeling that comes across through the grainy recording is almost like looking though a photo album filled with black and white pictures.

Very very nice work.
